Meet the Chiefs

Chief Pinch
Chief Pinch

Chief Steven Pinch has been a member of the Union Fire District since 1983, starting as a member of the Peace Dale Fire Department. In 1995 Chief Pinch was elected Captain of his station. In 1997 he was appointed Deputy Chief by the Board of Wardens and appointed Chief in 2016. Chief Pinch is Pro-Board Incident Safety Officer and holds a BS in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University.

Assistant Chief Whaley
Assistant Chief Whaley

Assistant Chief Lance Whaley has been a member of the Union Fire District since 1984, starting as a member of the Forest Fire Department. In 1996 Chief Whaley was elected Captain of his station. In 2014 he was appointed Deputy Chief by the Board of Wardens. Chief Whaley is the Special Operations and Communications officer for the District and holds a Pro-Board Incident Safety Officer Certification.

Deputy Chief Cinquegrana
Deputy Chief Cinquegrana

Deputy Chief Tony Cinquegrana has been a member of the Union Fire District since 1994, starting as a member of the Forest Fire Department. In 2010 Chief Cinquegrana was elected Captain of his station. In 2014 he was appointed Deputy Chief by the Board of Wardens. Chief Cinquegrana is the Vehicle Operations and Vehicle Maintenance officer for the District and holds a Pro-Board Incident Safety Officer Certification.

Deputy Chief Bradley
Deputy Chief Bradley

Deputy Chief Thomas Bradley has been a member of the Union Fire District since 1989, starting as a member of the Peace Dale Fire Department. In 1997 Chief Bradley was elected Captain of his station. In 2018 he was appointed Deputy Chief by the Board of Wardens. Chief Bradley is the training officer for the District and holds a Pro-Board Incident Safety Officer Certification.

Deputy Chief Duckworth
Deputy Chief Duckworth

Deputy Chief Andrew Duckworth has been a member of the Union Fire District since 2005, starting as a member of the Matunuck Fire Department. In 2011 Chief Duckworth was elected Captain of his station. He remained Captain until 2023 when he was appointed Deputy Chief by the Board of Wardens.
