The Union Fire District of South Kingstown (UFD) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Interim District Administrator. This is a full-time position and is under the general direction of the Board of Wardens.
Responsibilities and Duties (include but not limited to)
· Supervising and managing the day-to-day administrative duties responsibilities of the UFD in a competent and professional manner.
· Supervise UFD staff to include Tax Collector, Mechanic, Building Maintenance, Code Enforcement and Business Office personnel.
· Conduct and or oversee budgeting, purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, employee timekeeping, and record keeping related duties.
· Attending night meetings, post meeting agendas, draft, and post meeting minutes in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.
· Liaison with legal counsel, treasurer, insurance agent, health care and dental providers.
· To do related work, as required by the Board of Wardens.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Certifications
· Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Qualified candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
o Background check required.
· Qualified candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written, oral).
· Qualified candidates must possess effective time management skills; able to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
· Qualified candidates must have 5 years of office experience.
· Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years’ working in supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Certifications
· College degree
· Five years of managerial experience.
