Union Fire District of South Kingstown Assists Disabled Boaters Saturday Morning

SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Chief Steven Pinch reports that the Union Fire District of South Kingstown assisted disabled boaters this morning. 

On Saturday, Aug. 6 at 10:34 a.m., Union Fire District was called to assist a disabled boat with two people on board.

Chief Pinch along with members from Stations 2, 6 and 8 responded to Worden’s Pond. 

Station 6 launched a rescue boat and made contact with the disabled boat and the occupants out on the water. 

The disabled boat was safety towed back to the nearby boat ramp. No injuries were reported.
