In the event of any emergency, please call 9-1-1. Whether your emergency requires the Police DepartmentEmergency Medical Services, or us, this one number will dispatch the appropriate responders.

CodeRED Emergency Notification System

We encourage all residents of South Kingstown to sign up to receive notifications from the Town of emergencies and severe weather. Through the CodeRED community notification system, the Town quickly disseminates safety information regarding such emergencies as severe weather alerts, life-threatening fires, dangerous floods, and announcements about the evacuation of neighborhoods.

Sign up and create a profile to receive alerts. Complete the registration form. Residents and Businesses may select how they receive alerts (i.e. phone call, text and/or email). Your information remains private and will only be used for emergency notifications.

Be Prepared

While children have fire drills at school, the National Fire Protection Association also recommends that families have exit plans and practice drills at home, too. Click here to learn more.
