About Us:

The Wakefield Fire Company was established in 1894 and located on Main St. Incorporated into the Union Fire District in 1924, a new Fire Station was built at 197 Robinson St. We respond to all calls within the Union Fire District. We are an all-volunteer organization, serving our fellow community members in times of need. We are primarily an Engine Company, Rescue Boat and Dive Team but we also respond to other calls for assistance such as medical aid, wildland/brush fires, and water/ice rescue, and natural disasters.

How to join us:

If you or anyone you know is interested in joining the Wakefield Fire Department as a Firefighter, a Driver, or even an associate member, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are located at 197 Robinson Street, right off of Main Street in the heart of Wakefield. You can also reach us at (401) 789-7333, and either speak to one of the members or leave a message. Our drill days are Wednesday night from 7:00 to 9:00PM and Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00AM. We also frequently man our engine for day, night, and weekend duty shifts.
