Smoke Detector/Carbon Monoxide Detector Inspection Procedure

Smoke Detector Inspections are conducted on Monday Afternoons and Tuesday mornings only of each week. $30.00 inspection fee must be received at the UFD Office 131 Asa Pond Rd, prior to the inspection (As of Sept 1, 2010).

NOTE: You are advised to schedule your inspection to take place at least 2 weeks prior to your closing to allow for any deficiencies to be corrected.

Smoke Detector Certificates will be issued on-site at the time of the inspection for those properties that are deemed to be in compliance. A re-inspection must be scheduled for any property found to be non-compliant. An additional $60.00 fee will be charged for each re-inspection required.
